Calliope McAllister was born humbly in the barony of Sunsbane in the land of Wryde, but her mother always said she was a "child of the stars" destined for more. Her mother died young, leaving her older brother Luka to look after her. Luka worked as the groundskeeper at Baron Caleb Nyland's castle, and so she and her brother were able to live modest lives. As a child, Callie's bardic talents and ethereal singing voice made her a popular guest at-court, and so she was able to learn her craft from the court musicians, and the baron quickly became fond of the girl, to the point she became his ward with her becoming an honorary member of the baron's household, with the right to use his surname if she so chose.
When the baron's wife died young, Callie became the private bard of Nyland's two young daughters, as they had few other peers in-court to begin with and needed comfort. Nonetheless, Callie sought her father, said to possibly be Eborh Himself, and always sought news from abroad and listened for any whispers of His presence upon Azuryon that she might find Him.
When Callie reached majority, she was sent with Baron Nyland's young general, Griffith, and two adventurers to investigate a dire situation in the baron's holding. Callie quickly developed a bit of a knack for trouble, ending up arrested and jailed in one particular town after inadvertently sparking a tavern brawl. It was during this service to her lord that Callie learned of her Aasimar blood and the connection that gave her to the Pantheon of Five, themselves. Through it all, she and her new friends were able to fulfill their task, but learned along the way that there was war brewing for the Baron and his small, prosperous land. When the party returned, Baron Nyland greeted her with news of Eborh actually manifesting upon the planet and moving amongst His children. With leave from the Baron, Callie set off upon one of his large treasure ships bound for the place He had been sighted. Calliope enjoyed this new setting, inspiring new works for her to write, but she may yet soon discover that the Great Seas of Azuryon are a largely-unknown and very dangerous place...
